Shipping and returns

We normally use a courier delivery service to ensure you receive your goods in good condition. We despatch orders in bulk and therefore please allow up to 21 days for delivery. If you require receipt of goods for a specific date, please contact us before placing your order and we can confirm this for you.

If you are ordering one of our gift hampers, then we will make sure that you receive this by the 21st December, in time for Christmas, provided you place your order by 13th December.

Should an ordered item be out of stock for the forseeable future, we reserve the right to substitute an alternative product of equal or greater value.

The following is the "Delivery" section from our Terms and Conditions:

Equitable Gourmet Ltd will endeavour to despatch all orders on time to ensure delivery in the timescale specified, however we cannot be held responsible for non-delivery or delayed delivery due to insufficient or incorrect details submitted by the customer. To avoid any such problem, please make sure all address details are correct and provide a contact telephone number for the recipient so that the carrier can contact them if the need arises.

As proof that the customer has received their order, a signature is required. If there is no one at the delivery address, a card will be left asking the intended recipient to contact the carrier company directly and arrange a mutually convenient delivery time. If delivery is unsuccessful a second time, or the customer fails to contact the carrier within 2 days, then the order will be returned to Equitable Gourmet Ltd and a second charge for delivery may be made at our discretion before the hamper can be despatched again.

When a hamper/gift box has been received and signed for it will be deemed by Equitable Gourmet Ltd that all contents are present. In the unlikely event of any shortfall of the hamper/gift box contents please notify us within 3 days of receipt of the hamper and quote the order’s Reference Number.

Please note that if you order items for delivery outside the United Kingdom they may be subject to import duties and taxes, and you will be responsible for any such import duties and taxes. Cross-border deliveries are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities. When ordering from any web site you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which the items are to be delivered.

For deliveries to addresses in European Union countries outside the UK please e-mail us at: info@equi-table.com as these deliveries are subject to additional shipping charges which we will be happy to advise you about. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to enter all recipient delivery address details correctly.

For regulatory reasons, we are unable to take online orders for the delivery of food products to mainland USA from the UK web store. If you are in the US please contact us by e-mail and we will promptly respond to your query.
