Thank you for considering purchasing our food or gift box from Equitable Gourmet Ltd. We would like to draw your attention to our terms and conditions as set out below. They enable us to provide all our customers with a smooth and efficient service.
PAYMENT/CONFIDENTIALITY
Equitable Gourmet Ltd does not supply information given to us by our customers to any other person or company. We comply with the Data Protection Act 1998, the SafeBuy web trader Code of Practice and the Distance Selling Regulations 2000.
We will not contact our customers for marketing or promotional purposes without their permission.
DELIVERY
Equitable Gourmet Ltd will endeavour to despatch all orders on time to ensure delivery in the timescale specified, however we cannot be held responsible for non-delivery or delayed delivery due to insufficient or incorrect details submitted by the customer. To avoid any such problem, please make sure all address details are correct and provide a contact telephone number for the recipient so that the carrier can contact them if the need arises.
As proof that the customer has received their order, a signature is required. If there is no one at the delivery address, a card will be left asking the intended recipient to contact the carrier company directly and arrange a mutually convenient delivery time. If delivery is unsuccessful a second time, or the customer fails to contact the carrier within 2 days, then the order will be returned to Equitable Gourmet Ltd and a second charge for delivery may be made at our discretion before the hamper can be despatched again.
When a hamper/gift box has been received and signed for it will be deemed by Equitable Gourmet Ltd that all contents are present . In the unlikely event of any shortfall of the hamper/gift box contents please notify us within 3 days of receipt of the hamper and quote the order’s Reference Number.
Please note that if you order items for delivery outside the United Kingdom they may be subject to import duties and taxes, and you will be responsible for any such import duties and taxes. Cross-border deliveries are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities. When ordering from any web site you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which the items are to be delivered.
For deliveries to addresses in European Union countries outside the UK please e-mail us at: info@equi-table.com as these deliveries are subject to additional shipping charges which we will be happy to advise you about. It is the purchaser's responsibility to enter all recipient delivery address details correctly.
For regulatory reasons, we are unable to take online orders for the delivery of food products to mainland USA from the UK web store. If you are in the US please contact us by e-mail and we will promptly respond to your query.
SUBSTITUTIONS
We will always try to send the hamper/gift box exactly as described on our website, however we reserve the right to substitute items to the same or greater value if an availability issue on one or more product lines has occurred.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellation of an order must be notified in writing by e-mail info@equi-table.com within 7 working days following receipt of a hamper.
In the event of a cancelled order, it is the recipient's responsibility to repack the hamper in a suitable way for safe transportation and return it to Equitable Gourmet Ltd, on receipt of which, the relevant refund will be processed to the customer less the cost of collection (if applicable).
All items should be returned in good condition. Any items that have been opened, consumed, or are otherwise not fit for resale will not be refunded.
Once a refund has been processed the credit/debit card receipt will be forwarded to the purchaser.
DAMAGED GOODS
Our hampers are packed in such a way that they are suitable for travelling through multiple handling depots of carriers. However if any contents of our hampers/gift boxes are damaged on receipt please notify the courier and Equitable Gourmet Ltd within 48 hours of delivery by e-mail: info@equi-table.com
Damaged contents should be suitably packaged, quoting the Reference Number, and returned directly to our distributer at:

We will then refund or replace the item(s) concerned upon receipt and inspection.
PRIVACY POLICY
Equitable Gourmet Ltd does not disclose buyers’ information to third parties except as detailed in our Terms and Conditions. Cookies are only used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping basket once you have selected an item, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the "Remember Me" Option. Data collected by this site is only used to:
- take and fulfill customer orders
- administer and enhance the site and service
We will only disclose information to third parties for goods delivery purposes.
UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES
While we make every effort to fulfill our orders with all expediency, occasions may arise when this may not be possible due to force-majeure.
